BarCamp Scotland
BarCamp Scotland was an enlightening experience - I didn’t expect Edinburgh to be home to so many independent developers and web start-up companies.
Presentations varied from up-coming projects (Revish, Free Agent, Groopit, mepath), using existing technologies (XML, Rails, Microformats) and enthusiastic software demos (Extending Flock, Notate, Second Life).
I’m sure I missed twice as much as I actually saw.
In all, a useful afternoon’s geeking. I’ll definitely be going to the next one, hopefully to demo a project of my own!
