I find inline text adverts to be abrtusive, anoying and make a site look unprofessional. The adverts are provided by 3rd parties - the ones I’ve come across are from either Kontera or IntelliText.
Blocking Inline Text Ads in Omniweb
You can block adverts from these networks using Omniweb’s ad blocking feature. Here are the two rules I added:
/..intelitext.com/ /..kontera.com/
You can also block these kind of adverts by turning off javascript for that site - both Omniweb and Safari with SafariStand can do this.
I also emailed the site’s administrators to let them know how I felt - hopefully they’ll get the message and remove them permanently.
